Reeperbahn Festival ARTS

Reeperbahn Festival ARTS

From the very beginning of the Reeperbahn Festival, music and art have been inseparably linked, joined in an exciting cooperation this year too. Reeperbahn Festival Arts has put together a varied and lively arts package again invited visitors to look, listen and join in. In 2012 we were pleased to welcome numerous new guests apart from old hands such as the Flatstock Europe Poster Convention. Several galleries of the Hamburger Neustadt opened their doors for the first time. But also some new and well-known galleries and bars as well as a museum, a comic shop and a football stadium, all located in the `Kiez´district offered an ambitious and diversified programme with installations, readings, photography, illustrations and concerts this year.

Literature line was there for the second time.  In humorous and serious stories, tough sailors and tragic everyday heroes, had their say, exploring the Hamburg (night) life. In readings, film screenings and exclusive tours the city of Hamburg were discovered and experienced anew. But this wasn´t everything - as before the ARTS programme presented exhibitions, Flatstock and literature as well as events from the world of films, tours, street art and, very new this year, digital arts.
