European Talent Exchange Program

As the exchange and support of new music in Europe is one of the main goals of EuroSonic Noorderslag,it introduced the special European Talent Exchange Program (ETEP) in 2003.
Each year ETEP brings together the leading European festivals, EBU radio stations and other media and stimulates them to ‘exchange’ a selection of artists. Since its launch ETEP has proved to be successful, with 730 confirmed festival shows by 249 European artists at 60 festivals in Europe.

The Institut français is the government agency for the promotion of French culture abroad. Placed under the supervision of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, its mission consists in spreading France's cultural and linguistic influence internationally, in close collaboration with a network of 101 Instituts français and more than 300 Alliances françaises around the world. Among other activities, the Institut français provides support for a large number of projects every year, covering all artistic disciplines such as live performance, music, visual arts, and architecture.

SACEM

SACEM is a private entity; it is a non-trading company directed by authors, composers and publishers. The Board of Directors is elected every year by the Annual General Meeting and is comprised of six authors, six composers, one author/film director and six music publishers. The Executive Board administers Sacem; the CEO of the Executive Board is appointed by the Board of Directors and manages SACEM. Two large departments based at headquarters collect authors’ rights: one covers film and TV, record production, videos and the Internet, while the other deals with music performances, musical events and sites/venues open to the public. SACEM has 81 delegation offices and seven departments to cover country regions outside Paris for optimal collection of rights due. Working through the same network, SACEM has good presence in the field for cultural programs and initiatives.
