Kulturreich & Lazy Dog Gallery are pleased to present a paradise of art and music.
In conjunction with the Reeperbahn Festival, DJ Runge will take the stage on September 19. He will roll out the paradisiacal sound carpet and bring the paradiese-exhibition to life!
In parallel, and in celebration of its tenth anniversary, Kulturreich Galerie presents the group exhibition paradiese (paradises), sites of human desires and longings as seen by Peter Bialobrzeski, Peter Granser, Tim Kubach, Margarin Studio, and Synchrodogs. The exhibition, which is part of the Hamburger Architektur Sommer programme, will remain on view until September 26, 2012.
Paradise, a wondrous place that knows no misfortune or disaster, is frequently associated with the Christian concept of the Garden of Eden—or, quite often, simply with a park-like environment. The artists in the paradiese exhibition question the notion of the unspoiled and idealized so characteristic of the “paradisiacal” and turn their focus to the “fractured,” the dualism of nature and artificiality, thereby disclosing their different visions and observations of paradise—be they poetic, joyful, or critical.
