"From Berghain to Mannheim"-that was the title of a recent article from the London-based Guardian on the current German music scene: an indication that the southwest German city of Mannheim has earned its place on the music map. Graduates of the Mannheim University of Music and of the Pop Academy are buzzing about all across Germany in all sorts of music-business contexts; and musicians, bands, and DJs from Mannheim are also keeping pretty busy.
