Is it safe? Of what use are the new standards of the live industry?

Official requirements that come with the approval of events are becoming increasingly demanding and individualised. Whether prompted by the Olympic Games, accidents at open-air events, or the aftermath of the Duisburg Love Parade tragedy - institutional authorities have long been on the verge of drafting instructions meant to optimise live productions. And now we have two: the ISO 20121, and the "Framework for local planning, approval, execution, and evaluation of large outdoor events" from the Interior Ministry of North Rhine-Westphalia.
