Andy Burrows
His time with Razorlight was often hard for Andy Burrows. Frequent fights with singer Johnny Borrell and his über-sized ego lead to Burrows quitting the band in 2009. The drummer co-wrote plenty of Razorlight's songs such as "America" and "Before I Fall To Pieces" but in the public eye Borrell took all the credit. So it's hardly surprising Burrows called his first solo album "Sun Comes Up Again". At first he released his songs under the project title I Am Arrows but has switched to his real name now. After quitting Razorlight he was the tour drummer of We Are Scientists and recorded an album with Editors singer Tom Smith. But the multi-instrumentalist left the drum kit in favour of his other talents: he plays the guitar, piano, banjo and harmonica. Of course, he sings, too. British magazine Music Week described his style best: "Take a bit of the Beatles, add MGMT and a dash of Elliott Smith and you've got the sound of Andy Burrows".
