Two Hours Traffic
If the world were just and the best bands would get the fame they deserve, O.C. California's Seth Cohen would have a poster by Two Hours Traffic on his wall - not Death Cab For Cutie. Ok, nothing against Death Cab, but Canadians Two Hours Traffic have produced some pretty catchy Indie-Rock on their last two albums. And it fits the Californian context of The O.C. a lot better than the melancholy Cuties. "Happiness Burns" for example is a powerful Feel-Good-Hit and so is "Noisemaker". Happy, restless guitars, sunny harmonies just like the Beach Boys and pumping drum-beats - that's what the golden state sounds like!
