The last German music awards surprised its male visitors on their way to the toilet: a couple of boys with an amplifier, keyboards and drum kit created a weirdly wonderful space sound. A part of the after-show party programme? Winners of the category "Best toilet gig"? No, it was the Kraut-guerrilla band Camera.When the three guys aren't busy recording with Michael Rother (NEU!) or Dieter Moebius (Cluster), they take their equipment to urban underpasses. Tube station or public toilets. These guerrilla gigs are usually - like the German music awards - unpermitted. Nonetheless or because of it Camera attract a lot of visitors. Their Reeperbahn Festival gig is part of the official programme. At least this one gig. Who knows what they have planned on top of it... So, if you start to hear a cosmic space sound as you walk through the night, you might have just stumbled upon a Camera secret guerilla gig.
