Rebekka Karijord is a multi-facetted artist: the Norwegian lady, who lives in Sweden, started to learn the piano and violin very early. Other instruments followed - her latest acquisition an electro harp which she posted on Facebook. An instrument which has a prominent place on stage. Karijord studied musical theatre in Oslo and works as a composer or musician for theatre and modern ballet productions. Apart from being a movie actress, the 36-year-old also has her very own studio and record label. Busy bee! Her music sounds just like her life: dramatic and precise. Rebekka Karijord is a very talented composer with a gift for Pop music. Every note has its place. The minimalistic songs evoke melancholic imagery. Her current single "Use My Body While It's Still Young" features dark, church-like organ sounds. Her new album "We Become Ourselves" will be released soon. It's going to be as complex and fascinating as everything this outstanding woman does!

Sounds like:
Johanna Newsom, Oh Land, Jennie Abrahamson
