Paula i Karol
Normally, Polish students try to go to the USA or Canada to gain some experience abroad and to learn the English language. With Paula it was different, it was the other way around. The young Canadian moved from Guelph/Ontario to Warsaw in order to study there. She met Karol in the Polish capital, who had played in several Rock bands before. Karol plays guitar, Paula plays violin and both can sing, so they formed a band and named it Paula i Karol. Together they make what they describe as "Urban Folk", acoustic Pop music. One of their favourite bands is Noah & The Whale and the duo does indeed sound a bit like the London-based Folk combo. Bob Dylan and Emmylou Harris are some of their idols but they would never dare to compare themselves to them. Their respect is too big.
