Brigitte
Brigitte has a lot of style. Of course we aren’t talking about a random girl here. No, we are referring to the eponymous French duo. After several different musical guises, Aurélie Saada and Sylvie Hoarau formed the band four years ago. And what’s so stylish about them? Their clothes are probably from the best vintage shops around. Especially Sylvie Hoaraus’ love for big glasses is the cherry on top of this glittery but elegant, retro cake. Their French Retro-Pop is playful and draws its harmony and lightness from their clear voices, which resonate together perfectly. Their sound is demanding and cocky without losing its finesse and elegance. Their cover of NMT’s “Ma Benz” sums up what they are about: like the song, the ladies focus on lascivious ambiguity, in which snappy women are as attractive as cars. Their approach is appealing and the echo was a platinum award for their debut album “Et vous, tu m’aimes?”. Brigitte also received the most important French music price for their endearing live performances. As ‘The Best Newcomer Live Act’ Brigitte promises an entertaining and enchanting evening.
