Ok, girl/boy duos in which the girl holds the drum sticks might not be brand new. But they are ALWAYS fun! The hottest duo to climb up the Rock-Duo-Olympus is the Cannon Bros from Canada. Cole Woods on guitar and Alannah Walker behind the drums are the best garage slackers around today. But wait, they even swap their instruments around and break with the institutionalised cliché role distribution of the girl/boy duo! If you have experienced the 90s, like The White Stripes and have nothing against cool harmonies, then you might just have found your new favourite band. It all comes out straightforward - the sound, the lyrics and an occasional imperfection. As naturally as possible but always very close to perfection.
