MAI LAN sounds like a bike ride through the nicest park. You immediately fall in love with her when you watch her video to the single "Easy". It needs a little craziness. She walks around with a box in which she carries a guy's chin face. Yeah, you got it right, a chin that's transformed into a face. Some could say she is the French version of Kate Nash or Lilly Allen. She is the underground's Katie Melua. But of course, she actually is something completely different. When she covers Monie Love's "Born 2 Breed" it shines with attitude. Her long dark hair and her charisma make her glow like a young goddess and we could end up calling her 'cute'. But no, MAI LAN is feisty. She is like Katie Melua with balls and a loose screw. MAI LAN, we won't run away from you, no, we'll run towards you with our arms wide open. Her debut album will be released in September. Her live performance can only be enchanting!
