Dante Kinnunen might be familiar to fans of Swedish Pop as the drummer of The Concretes. What he creates with his solo project might soon overshadow his band, however. Pop, R’n’B, Soul - Kinnunen’s songs move somewhere in-between these lines. Tied together by structurally well-produced songs with reduced beats, a couple of samples (for example Adele’s “Won’t Go”) and a couple of synthie sounds. That’s enough to cause fascinating music. Dante’s tender voice gives it that special something turning these songs into Pop pearls that won’t leave your head. If you are looking for R’n’B with Zeitgeist, interesting for Indie-lovers, then Dante is the answer. It doesn’t come as a surprise that the young Swede already signed to a major label.
