MS MR
Artists who don't share everything about themselves instantly have a mysterious aura. We are used to getting all the information we request. The names of the two artists behind MS MR are unknown. There wasn't even a picture of them until recently, now there is a live video of their amazing song "Hurricane". But the music is what counts and it's more than enough: Chill-Wave with traces of Goth-Pop and Trip-Hop-Beats. MS MR also leave their very own characteristic traces on their Tumblr blog: hundreds of photographs. Very much like their videos where they mix snippets of Pop culture, the photographs on their blog are all retro and in Polaroid style. Whoever looks for information, has to keep scrolling down endlessly. It's all part of MS MR's masterplan, after all it's them who refer to their music as Tumblr-Glitch-Pop. They belong to a generation of artists who have achieved fame because of the blogosphere. That's what it was like for them at least until now. MS MR have just recently signed a record deal at a major label in the USA. So we are more than certain that their audience will expand outside the world wide web. Information about such a great band can't be kept secret forever.
