Bonaparte
“Come inside, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to circus Bonaparte!” This would be an aptly welcome to the gig of this crazy band from Berlin. Bonaparte’s shows are as much circus as they are a rock concert. Equipped with wolf masks and bunny outfits, gas masks and skeletons the dancers run across the stage creating a colourful chaos. Swiss visionary Tobias Jundt is the director and founder of this unusual troupe of twenty artists. He calls it “Visual Trash Punk” and his creativity was recently honoured with a major record deal at Warner Music Group. There aren’t only dancers and musicians in the band, though. Behind the scenes, set and costume designers, photographers and video artists are busy pushing the boundaries of the live music experience. There’s no routine. Every gig is a new Happening featuring Electro-Punk, erotic dancers and beastly performances.
