Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains
Earlier this year, French musician Frànçois Marry presented his second album “E Volo Love”. While the debut was released on small Indie label Talitres, his sophomore record found a new, much more prestigious home: British label Domino. And suddenly, Marry gets all the attention he deserves and that was long overdue. Together with his band The Atlas Mountains he creates wonderful songs from light-footed Folk to hard-headed Indie á la The Pastels with dreamy, Dadaistic influences. Not to forget the happily energetic, almost African percussion. This eclectic mix is perfect for the bi-lingual music of Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains, who sing in English and French. But despite all these different musical styles all songs have one thing in common: Marry’s inspiring relaxed attitude! If you haven’t heard of this wonderful band before, you should start by listening to the last two singles: “City Kiss” and “Les Plus Beaux”. They will give you a good idea of what they sound like.
