Hanne Kolstø
Despite counting just 5 million inhabitants, its reservoir of talented Pop musicians seems inexhaustible. Hanne Kolstø is from the harbour city Kristiansand and is one of the most remarkable newcomers. She plays in three different bands in her hometown as well as performing as a solo artist. Guitar, keyboard and a loop station is everything she needs to create an individual Pop sound that sometimes reminds of Bjørk and PJ Harvey. She herself additionally counts Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor to her favourites. But she is far off from their Industrial and Electro bombast, her compositions are too fragile and her vocals too tender.
