Hi-Lo & In Between
The Finnish city Tampere is often described as the Manchester of Finland. Like its British counterpart, the city was left scarred by industrial development. But like its British counterpart it is also a hub for great music. Hi-Lo & In Between recruit some of their members from Tampere. The others are from Helsinki - the city of bikes, green parks and a beautiful harbour. So what does this urban contrast sound like? Simply fantastic!
Hi-Lo & In Between create the most beautiful music one can make with an organ, jukebox (!), mandolin, guitar, bass, drums, violin and a humming voice. The last three albums presented a mixture of atmospheric Country and Folk. Sometimes it sounds incredibly calm (“A Clear Silence”) and at other times it carries you away into a barn, where you dance like you’ve never danced before throwing your cowboy hat into the air (“Looking Good, Feeling Bad”). Like the name suggests, the band combines highs, lows and whatever is in between.
