Rozi Plain
Is quiet the new loud? Maybe. Has Anti-Folk become British? Not entirely, but these questions arise when you look at all the young talented artists from the UK. One of their stars is the Winchester born and Bristol based Singer-Songwriter Rozi Plain. She is an exception in the Folk-scene as she only plays the electric guitar. No acoustic picking. As you can imagine, some songs are quite minimalistic: only her voice and her guitar. The sound is reminiscent of Billy Bragg’s early career. Rozi Plain’s daily job is on ferry on the river Avon and looking at her creative output over the past years it seems to be very inspiring. This young woman deserves to be discovered!
