Jonas David
Jonas is from the beautiful German area called „Bergisches Land“. A megacity called Wuppertal, to be exact. This young gentleman could easily be compared to something between City & Colour and William Fitzsimmons if you like. And as is right and proper, the modern Singer-Songwriter wears – of course – a beard. But let’s move away from outer appearances: Jonas’ musical career began when he was 14 and he is self-tought in several instruments. His uniqueness and his folky acoustic Indie lead to an appearance on German TV format „TV Noir“ where he sat on the couch with no one less than Heather Nova. It’s even cooler, though, that we may bid him welcome at this year’s Reeperbahn Festival. Jonas’ sound is like a soft, warm, wooly blanket on a chilly day in February. It’s like a hot cocoa with whipped cream. Endearing and cosy. Relaxing and melancholic. Listen in and empathize!
