Dead Skeletons
"If you fear death, you cannot enjoy life", that is the credo of Icelandic quartet Dead Skeletons. Even though the band revolves around the themes of death and darkness, the musicians don't take themselves too seriously. Just take a look at the video for "Dead Is God": crowd of turban wearing men dances stiffly to eerie beats reminiscent of Bauhaus. Dead Skeletons call themselves "The Monks of the Dead Temple", another play on religious symbols. Last autumn they released the album "Dead Magick" resulting in a hype in Iceland. The coloured vinyl edition sold out in a couple of days.
