Chew Lips
London, would you please for the love of god stop whipping out all these awesome bands? You big show off! The Chew Lips, like many other great bands, originate from London and we love them big time! To make a lasting expression with all these Synth Pop bands around is not an easy job, yet Chew Lips did it! Their 8-Bit Power-Punch-Electro-Pop-Sound and leadsinger Tigs are a friggin blast! Tigs voice has been compared to Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs or even Beth Ditto: a bit of drama, a bit of diva and a lot of 80’s hysteria. Since their debut album ’Unicorn’, which came out on Kitsuné, the Chew Lips have been touring constantly and that’s why it makes us even happier that they could fit this year’s Reeperbahn Festival into their über busy schedule. We cannot wait to see them live in September!
