If someone suddenly asked me: Who is a famous citizen of Krefeld? - I wouldn’t know an immediate answer. My first thought would be the Grotifant, the football mascot of KFC Uerdingen. This doesn’t say anything about the city; it’s just my ignorance! Sorry. Soon, we’ll all know the answer: Patrick Richardt! He’s the best person to fill this vacant position. His songs about love, inner conflicts and the small things in life are wonderfully arranged. No wonder he’s been signed by Hamburg label Grand Hotel van Cleef. They have a long tradition of highbrow Singer-Songwriter-Folk music. Multi instrumentalist Richardt plays fantastic music and finally puts Krefeld on the map! Let’s forget about that Grotifant!
