Man Like Me
Cheeky gobs, a super ironic attitude, and big love of melody. It's fairly obvious: Hip Hop/Pop duo Man Like Me are from London. Johnny Langer and Peter Duffy have a very close connection to the city and it popcultural heritage. Langer recently said that even though he only knows North, East and Central London, he never wants to see anything else. Well, North Londoner dissing the South, that's no surprise. Still, the attachement to their borough - Camden - is amazing. Man Like Me even named their 2009 hit "London Town". And trusted Mike Skinner of The Streets fame with the mix. Of course, it was all about the Olympics. What else? Anyway, Man Like Me are pure, 100% authentic Londoners. Their sound is all over the place which placed perfectly in the British capital: Grime, Calypso Dub Rap, Indie Disco - as long as you can dance, it doesn't matter. And you can definitely dance! All night. All day.
