Meet Estonia and Latvia

A boy is laying somewhere in the Estonian woods, his blonde hair amidst the moss and grass, soil sticking to his woollen jumper – that’s the picture of the new Ewert And The Two Dragons video. The Estonian quartet (no trio despite its name and by the way the first band at the Reeperbahn Festival from Estonia ever) has just released “Good Man Down”, the second in its three year band history. The music seems to have hit a nerve in their Baltic home as they won all kinds of awards. The anachronistic Folk-music sounds like it is the soundtrack to old Estonian lore. The drums wander softly through the undergrowth, the oddly looking pre-guitars are whizzing like  little wood sprites through the air while Ewert is singing of his heavy burden. We want to help him and sit by his side while he’s lighting an imaginary campfire on stage. Saying that, this band is far too interesting than to wallow in kitschy Folk clichés…

Sounds like:
