It's amazing what can happen in just three years: in 2009 we booked Animal Kingdom for their first ever Hamburg show. Back then, they had just released their debut "Signs and Wonders". After that, the trio from North London grew bigger and bigger: support slots for big acts like Band Of Horses, Snow Patrol and Vampire Weekend. A while back, after recovering from all the touring, the band began working on their sophomore album with Bat For Lashes producer David Kosten. Titled "The Looking Away" we hear sparkling Indie-Pop with dance hooks and wonderfully dreamy, anthem-like vocals by Richard Sauberlich. Their current single "Strange Attractor" will give you a good idea of the sound. The NME once wrote Animal Kingdom would make Sigur Rós go green with envy. Looking at the recent developments the prophecy might have been right.

Sounds like:
Sigur Rós, Oh No Ono, Mercury Rev
