Lukas Graham
Lukas Graham acted in films and synchronised them from an early age on. Child stardom didn’t do him any harm: he just topped the Danish charts at the tender age of 23. How did this happen so fast? Well, Graham worked on his own songs in New York and played many shows in Copenhagen with his band. A record label got involved and the result was - BOOM! - a No. 1 album this spring. The debut of this young Soul-Pop singer was on top of the charts for 9 weeks, including three Top 5 singles: "Ordinary Things", "Drunk In The Morning", and "Criminal Minds”. But why? Because the music of Lukas, who is half Irish and grew up in Christiania, sounds charmingly retro without being retro. Indie fans will immediately connect with his music and everyone who likes songs about ex girlfriends and drunkenness, too.
