Epochal. Dreamy. Hymn-like. An arena drowned in the thunderstorm of stroboscope. Unexpectedly beautiful snapshots in slow motion. The Tamper Trap’s music evokes a lot of imagery. Blame the song structure for this head rush: the high voice of frontman Dougy Mandagi resonates perfectly with the synthesizer sounds. The drums round it up and glue it all together - born is the perfect Indie-Rock. The British newspaper The Guardian praised their new album “The Temper Trap”, stating that there won’t be many choruses this year that will be similarly powerful to those on the record. The band’s second album pushes the success of their debut LP even further. Originally hailing from Australia, where their first record received platinum, the band moved to London four years ago. Their success travelled with them to Europe where they achieved gold status in the UK for the same album. The hit single “Sweet Disposition” is still in everyone’s head. Success won’t wait long this time either: with top producer Tony Hoffer on board the follow-up is guaranteed to climb to the top of the chart ladder, just as the first one did. Back to the strong images the music evokes. The recent video for the single  “Need Your Love“ is a remake of the 80s blockbuster Karate Kid. Less epical, but charmingly trashy. We’ve already requested a lot of stroboscope thunderstorms for their live show.

Sounds like:
Kasabian, Wild Beasts, Coldplay
