Stabil Elite
To some people Düsseldorf is not excactly famous for musical fineness. The reason for this must be either lack of knowledge or the power of repression. DAF, Kraftwerk, Neu!, Fehlfarben and also (even though it’s a very different genre) the Toten Hosen – they all originate from the Rhein area. Stabil Elite also get in line with those bands – in a musical sense as well as geologically. The new sound of Düsseldorf is characterized by their recently released album „Douze Pouze“ and the rheinische Trio itself. Message recieved? Good. You may call it a retro sound experiment which is assembled by Ambient, Kraut, Indie, Disco and Synthies paired with dadaistic lyrics and a lot of Dandy attitude. Super cool, especially live.
