The Dope
Indie blogs as well as daily papers were going crazy for The Dope’s debut album “Into The Woods“ back in 2010. To sum it up: “stormy”, “wild”, “incredible Post Punk”, “Modest Mouse”, “more versatile than most Indie quintets”, “hurray” - just to name a few reactions. The North/South two men band (duo would be the wrong word) plays tricky Rock music, always takes it into new directions without loosing the power over their most interesting songs. Their new piece “Mother's Boy Toyed With An Idea“ starts off as a folky-webbed guitar song before Rudi and Franz start to freak out powerfully. As if you would sit relaxed at a bonfire and suddenly you would get up, jam wildly on the guitar, and finally jump around with a mad smile on your face throwing pieces of burning wood into the trees – let’s just wait and see what will happen at their show.
