Monophona
How is it possible for electronic music to sound so intimate? So dangerously emotional? So folky? The reason might be Philippe "Chook" Schirrer who is responsible for the beats. Another reason is Claudine Muno's incredible voice. Together they are the Luxembourg-based duo Monophona. They have been making music together for nearly one and a half years and combine the most beautiful advantages of Electronica with Muno's songwriter experience. The outcome is a multifaceted whole that is analogue and digital at the same time. Guitar and piano meet beats and samples. Percussionist Jorsch Kaas supports Monophona at their live performances. Their first single will be released in September and the album in November. Very fresh, great and intimate New International Music.
