Tu Fawning
This band sounds like the past. Ladies and gentleman, Tu Fawning from Portland. Some journalist even asserted them medieval tendencies and an affinity for “Game Of Thrones”. The members of the band themselves describe their music as “Antique-Dance-Tribal-Gospel”. Unlike any other band, Tu Fawning put everything into their Pop mixer. The best example is the song “Anchor” on their second album “Monuments”: Corrina Repp’s voice is surrounded by a dark elegy while a neglected fun fair barrel organ mingles with synths. And it sounds like something big is about to happen, something we wouldn’t expect.
