I Heart Sharks
Usually people are afraid of sharks and spiders – however, this band isn’t. I heart Sharks are three guys from Berlin, pieced together from different nationalities just like the capital itself. They consist of „one German boy. one British boy. one lost boy“ and sound like something between super infectious Indie with Electro elements that make you wanna dance your ass off. Their debut album „Summer“ is out since October 2011 and in addition to countless other tour stops in 2012, the Reeperbahn Festival obviously is one of them. Electronica from Berlin paired with british coolness is something that lots of bands are trying to transport these days, some more or less successfully. I Heart Sharks seem to have invented this olympic discipline. Needless to say that they have a gallant directness that won’t drift off into something too experimental or unaccessible. Those boys are totally committed to the genre Pop-music and their die-hard fans love their easy and fun approach, which you will totally get once you’ve seen them live at the Reeperbahn Festival 2012.
