Lights
Some musicians can give you a hard time finding them on the web. Try typing in “lights”, the first few hits are amazingly expensive designer lamps. Adding the term “singer” makes it easier and soon you will find Mrs. Lights Poxleitner Bokan. (Yes, that is her real name. The 25-year-old Canadian just got married and added her Metalcore husband’s last name to the mix). Lights was discovered at a Walmart casting. She started writing songs for various artists when she was sixteen and has sung as guest or background vocalist for bands such as Silverstein, Owl City and Bring Me The Horizon. Her own music is fine Electro-Pop. Lights has already released two records in Canada. Her latest “Siberia” came out in October 2011 and got raving reviews. The songs are dominated by playful synthies (keytars!!) and catchy beats that put you right onto the dancefloor. Audiotune-Wave-Pop, Dub-Step or Anti-Electro – Mrs. Poxleitner Bokan doesn’t like genres which is why her shows are an amazingly colourful happening! You’ll love it!
