Einar Stray
Singer-Songwriter Einar Stray is only 21 years old, but he seems to know exactly what the word „epic“ means. Epic indeed is his orchestral sound that changes into melodies that are sweet as sugar. „Chiaroscuro“, his debut album, came out in January 2012 and shines with opulent structures and a very fine balance between „loud“ and „quiet“, between melancholia and the glance of hope. With his debut, the young lad from Norway made pretty clear that he has something to say. He says about himself that usually he has the melody and the structure of a song already pretty clear on his mind, then only pops into the studio to quickly record the song with his band. People who love musical complexity: this one’s for you! We’re trying to lay off the expression „Wunderkind“, but once you’ve listened to Einar Stray, you’ll know that this guy is onto big and awesome things. We are proud as hell to have him at Reeperbahn Festival 2012!
