Indie-Pop / Pop / Disco /
Bergen, Norway

“I don’t care!” – every word, every chord and every tone, all of their faces, hair-dos and t-shirts, their rebellious gestures of youth, cuteness and even their onomatopoeic band name which sounds like foolish gangster slang: everything these five (on stage up to eight) members of Kakkmaddafakka do, screams: “I don’t care!” Despite this Maddafakka attitude, however, these Norwegian slobs seem to love their Coolindiediscodancepopppa sound: Erlend Øye (Whitest Boy Alive, Kings Of Convenience) produced their latest album. As a result “Hest” contains lots of fidgety Pop songs about seemingly trivial subjects: girls and dancing. But that doesn’t really matter, because what’s most important about Kakkmaddafakka is the How?: Free and trashy, uninhibited, reassuring, funny, wild, crazy and unfeasibly cool!
