Rangleklods

From Minimal Electro to a wall of sound. From the Psychedelic-Rock of the 60s to the digital age of the present. The project Rangleklods draws its influences from a lot of different sources. Danish multi-instrumentalist Esben Andersen is the mastermind behind Rangleklods. After finishing his music studies in Aarhus, he moved to Berlin where he stayed for one and a half years. He refers to his time in the German capital as one long moment of inspiration. Meanwhile, his music grew darker and his voice became louder. The sound became more experimental. Pop structures were re-arranged using analogue as well as digital instruments. His debut album “Beekeeper” has been available in Denmark since March and will hopefully hit other country’s record stores soon. In contrast to the perfectionist nature of the record, Rangleklod’s live shows are spontaneous and a colourful dance festival. He doesn’t just bring a laptop and a microphone, real instruments are very important to him. Esben includes as many as possible to create his sound onstage, mistakes are something he embraces – the shows are about losing control and how to handle it. That’s what live music should always be about and when new rhythms ascend, the task is fulfilled: Esben is a restless live performer and a killer on the dance floor.
